For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: Children Celebrate Christmas with Joy in EPR Parishes
Today, as Christians prepare for Christmas, many parishes of the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda (EPR) organized Children’s Christmas celebrations. The day was full of joy, love, and a strong spirit of worship.
Children gathered in their churches happily, wearing nice clothes and singing Christmas songs with great excitement. Through prayers, songs, poems, and small dramas, they shared the message of the birth of Jesus Christ, a message of love, peace, and hope for everyone.
Pastors and children’s teachers reminded the children that Christmas is not only about receiving gifts, but about remembering God’s love, learning humility from Jesus who was born in a simple place, and living good Christian values such as love, respect, and helping others.
The celebration brought together children, parents, and the whole church community. It showed the commitment of the EPR to care for children and guide them in faith. Children’s Christmas was a sign of hope, showing that children are the future of the church. The joy, laughter, and smiles of the children showed that the birth of Jesus still brings true happiness and changes lives. This Children’s Christmas celebration left everyone thankful and full of hope.
