To prevent children from dropping out of school, the leadership of the EPR Church – Gitarama Presbytery organized a football tournament (for girls and boys) as part of a campaign called “ZERO OUT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN”. The goal of the campaign is: “No child should be left out of school.”
The tournament lasted one month, and all 40 parishes in Gitarama Presbytery participated. On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the tournament concluded. The girls’ trophy was won by EPR Ruhango Parish, who defeated EPR Kabadaha (Mushishiro) Parish, while the boys’ trophy went to EPR Gitarama Parish, who beat EPR Ntonde Parish.
All prizes were awarded by the Mayor of Muhanga District, who greatly appreciated by the EPR Church for supporting the campaign from its start to its conclusion. The EPR Church thanks the executive secretaries of sectors leaders and sector education inspectors who actively participated in the event. May God bless them.
