Isano Parish Organizes Vacation Bible Study to Strengthen Children’s Faith and Fellowship

Eglise Presbytérienne au Rwanda (EPR), through Isano Parish, organized a two-days’ Vacation Bible Study (VBS) from 6 to 7 July 2026, bringing together around 70 children from the parish and surrounding communities. The program featured Bible teaching, fellowship, sports, and faith-based learning activities designed to nurture the children’s spiritual growth and social development.

Organized by the leadership of Isano and conducted by the students from PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) who were in internship in Rwanda, the program brought together children for a series of activities aimed at nurturing their spiritual, social, and personal development. Throughout the program, participants studied God’s Word, prayed together, and enjoyed educational games designed to promote learning, teamwork, and positive values during the event.

According to leader of Isano parish, the Vacation Bible Study has provided children with a safe and nurturing environment where they are strengthening their faith and developing a deeper love for God’s Word. He noted that the program has also increased children’s enthusiasm for Sunday School and encouraged stronger fellowship among participants. “Through this program, children are learning, enjoying fellowship, and becoming more interested in Sunday School activities. We hope to continue and expand it so that more children can benefit,” he said.

Following the success of its two-days’ Vacation Bible Study, Isano Parish leader is planning to expand the initiative by sharing its experience with Sunday School teachers across the Kigali Presbytery and beyond. Church leaders hope the exchange will inspire other parishes to organize similar programs, giving more children opportunities to grow in their Christian faith, build friendships, and participate in educational and recreational activities.
